Johannesburg, South Africa – 22 November 2025:

G20 leaders on Saturday pledged to work toward a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in conflict-affected regions including Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Palestinian territories, and Ukraine, Anadolu reports.

The summit’s final declaration emphasized that efforts will be guided by the UN Charter, highlighting that peace is essential for global sustainability and prosperity. The statement also condemned terrorism “in all its forms and manifestations.”

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s spokesperson Vincent Magwenya confirmed that the declaration was officially adopted. The G20 also vowed to assist in resolving other conflicts and wars around the world.

Established in 1999, the G20 includes 19 countries and two regional organizations – the European Union and the African Union – representing major global economies.
