ran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi speaks at Tehran forum on nuclear enrichment”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reaffirmed that the country will not give up its uranium enrichment program, insisting that Tehran will not be intimidated even under the threat of war.

Speaking at a forum in Tehran on Sunday, Araghchi said:

“Iran has paid a very heavy price for its peaceful nuclear program and uranium enrichment. No one has the right to dictate our behaviour, and we will not surrender our right to enrich uranium, even if war is imposed on us.”

The remarks came shortly after Araghchi met US envoy Steve Witkoff in Oman. He emphasised that the US naval deployment in the Gulf does not scare Iran, signalling Tehran’s firm stance on its nuclear programme despite international pressure.

Araghchi’s comments underline ongoing tensions between the US and Iran over the country’s nuclear ambitions, amid heightened military activity in the region.
