Irish budget airline Ryanair has removed Tel Aviv from its list of destinations as Israel’s war on Gaza enters its third year.
According to Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post, the decision follows updates to Ryanair’s flight schedule, after the airline had already suspended flights to Israel due to the worsening security situation.
Since 7 October 2023, Israel — with direct American support — has continued large-scale military operations in Gaza, resulting in extensive destruction, displacement, arrests, and widespread civilian casualties, despite international pressure and rulings from the International Court of Justice to halt the offensive.
The conflict has led to more than 239,000 Palestinians killed or injured, with thousands more missing and many families facing famine and repeated displacement.
Ryanair has suspended flights to and from Israel three times since the start of the war, including a pause after a missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi movement landed near Ben Gurion Airport last May.
